However, Chapter I (Introductory part) and some Articles of the Chapter II (Organizational Structure) are included in this section for the understanding of the basic Principils of the party. The PML-N of International Affairs (Central and the Chapters) are fully protected by the constitution of PML-N. This constitutional and affiliation authority is defined in the Article 5, Section 11 of Chapter-II in the constitution of PML-N.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>CHAPTER- I</strong></p>
<p><strong>Introductory</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Name</em></strong></p>
<ol>
<li>The party shall be called Pakistan Muslim League-N.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em> Aims and Objectives</em></strong></p>
<ol start="2">
<li>The aims and objectives of the Pakistan Muslim League-N shall be:</li>
<li>To safeguard and preserve the sovereignty and integrity and to uphold the ideology of Pakistan;</li>
<li>To uphold and protect the constitution of the Islamic of Pakistan.</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>To ensure:-</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li>a) that the principles of democracy, freedom, quality, tolerance and social justice as enunciated by Islam are fully observed and enforced in Pakistan;</li>
</ol>
<p>(b) that the Muslims of Pakistan are enabled to order their lives in the individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah;</p>
<p>(c) that the fundamental rights including, equality of opportunity and before law, social, economic and political justice, and freedom ‘of thought, expression, belief, faith, worship, and association, are guaranteed to all citizens of Pakistan,</p>
<p>(d) that the legitimate interests of minorities are fully safeguarded and they are free to profess and practice their religion;</p>
<p>(e) that special and generous treatment shall be accorded to backward sections of the population with a view to accelerating their educational, economic and social progress;</p>
<p>(f) that the independence and impartiality of the judiciary are fully secured and maintained; and</p>
<p>(g) that practical steps are taken to advance the moral, material, social, economic, and cultural life of the nation with a view to enabling the people of Pakistan to attain their rightful and honoured place amongst the nations and make their full contribution towards peace, prosperity and progress of humanity.</p>
<ol>
<li>to establish and maintain friendly relations with other peace loving nations of the world and specially to strengthen fraternal relations and solidarity with other Muslim States;</li>
<li>to promote the cause of peace, freedom, justice and democracy throughout the world; and</li>
<li>to take practical steps from time to time for the achievement and furtherance of these aims.</li>
</ol>
<p>vii. Members of PML-N shall uphold the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and shall not undermine the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan public order to public morality or indulge in corrupt practices or terrorism and shall not promote sectarian regional or provincial hatred or animosity.</p>
<p><strong><em>Party Flag:</em></strong></p>
<ol start="3">
<li>The flag of Pakistan Muslim League-N shall be green, with a crescent and a star in the middle, as adopted by the All India Muslim League-N.</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>CHAPTER II</strong></p>
<p><strong>The Central Organization</strong></p>
<ol start="4">
<li>The Pakistan Muslim League-N shall be a popular and democratic organization.</li>
<li>The organization of the Pakistan Muslim League-N shall consist of:-</li>
</ol>
<p>(i) The Convention of the Pakistan Muslim League-N constituted under Article 23;</p>
<p>(ii) The Council of Pakistan Muslim League-N as constituted under Article 29;</p>
<p>(iii) The Central Working Committee of Pakistan Muslim League-N as constituted under Article 44.</p>
<p>(iv) The Central Parliamentary Board of the Pakistan Muslim League under Article 53;</p>
<p>(v) The Provincial Muslim League-s as constituted and affiliated to Pakistan Muslim League-N under Article 60-61;</p>
<p>(vi) Islamabad Federal Capital Muslim League-N as constituted under Article 89, 90;</p>
<p>(vii) The District and City Muslim League-N and their branches as constituted under Articles 95 and 96;</p>
<p>(viii) Specialized Wings of Pakistan Muslim League-N as constituted under Articles 55-59;</p>
<p>(viii-A) Azad Jammu & Kashmir Muslim League-N under Articles 92-93</p>
<p>(ix) Gilgit Baltistan Muslim League-N Under Article 92, 93;</p>
<p>(x) Muslim League-N FATA (as and when constituted)Article 94.</p>
<p>(xi) Overseas Branches of the Pakistan Muslim League-N as constituted and affiliated to Pakistan Muslim League-N under Articles 114-119.</p>
<p><strong><em>Qualifications for membership</em></strong></p>
<ol start="6">
<li>Membership of the Pakistan Muslim League-N shall be open to all adult citizens of Pakistan who are not members of any other political organization declared as such by the Working Committee of the Pakistan Muslim League-N and that he/she: (i) signs a declaration that he/she is in agreement with the aims and objects of the Pakistan Muslim League-N and will abide by its rules and constitution and (ii) pays the prescribed subscription in advance.</li>
<li>Only members of the Pakistan Muslim League-N will be eligible to become office bearers of different tiers of the Party.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> * Articles 8-59 of CHAPTER II are not included in this document.</p>
<p>* Chapter III (Provincial organizations) and Chapter IV (Local organizations) are not included in this document.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>CHAPTER – V</strong></p>
<p><strong>OVERSEAS ORGANISATION</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Overseas Branches</em></strong></p>
<ol start="114">
<li>The Pakistan Muslim League-N shall have its branches in all such countries where fifty or more members of PML-N reside permanently. More than one country may form a joint branch ‘m exceptional circumstances with prior approval of Secretary General PML-N. Notwithstanding the provision in Article 6 (Chapter II), foreign passport holders who were born in Pakistan, will also be eligible to become members of an overseas branch.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Organizational Structure</em></strong></p>
<ol start="115">
<li>PML-N branches can be set up in each city with 50 or more PML-N members. Such branches, apart from electing their own office bearers will also elect one councilor for every 50 members to the council of the PML-N at the country level. This council will elect the office bearers for the country level branch of the PML-N. In other matters all overseas branches will function on the pattern of a Provincial Muslim League-N and, for that purpose, the provisions of the relevant Articles shall, mutatis mutandis apply. Variations may be made to suit local conditions with the approval of Secretary General PML-N.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Membership</em></strong></p>
<ol start="116">
<li>Membership fee in each country will be fixed periodically by its Council, which will also determine the manner in which these funds are utilized.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Affiliation</em></strong></p>
<ol start="117">
<li>All Overseas branches shall be affiliated with the central organization of Pakistan Muslim League-N and shall function under its control and supervision.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Organizing Committee</em></strong></p>
<ol start="118">
<li>In countries, where a PML-N branch does not exist or in countries in which the branch needs to be re-organized, the President of Pakistan Muslim League-N may appoint an Organizing Committee to establish or re-organize the Overseas branch of the Party and to hold elections at the appropriate time.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Representation on Central Bodies</em></strong></p>
<ol start="119">
<li>The President and General Secretary from each Country shall be ex-officio member of the Council and the Convention of PML-N (Chapter II, Article 23, Section f) and shall have the power to nominate another member to represent them in the Convention but not in the Council.</li>
